Linksys - I set up a low end unit in 2002 - no problems since.

Netscreen Highly regarded and about the minimum if your run a server.  Overkill for a normal home network.  I've never tried one of these, but ask me again in Sept 2005, I think I'll have a network setup for outbound VPN with one of these.

Watchguard Second choice after Netscreen, I've not researched these.
